QuickBooks Consultant — Independent Written Advisory for Online and Desktop
An independent QuickBooks consultant for business owners and bookkeepers who need specific, expert guidance on a QuickBooks problem — without committing to ongoing monthly fees, giving remote access to their company file, or sitting on hold with official support. Written advisory guidance delivered by email. Available for QuickBooks Online, Desktop Pro, Premier, and Enterprise.
QuickBooks Desktop Is Being Discontinued — What You Need to Know Right Now
Intuit has confirmed the phased discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop. This affects every non-Enterprise Desktop user and the timeline is already underway in July 2026.
What has already happened:
Intuit stopped selling new QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, and Mac Plus subscriptions in September 2024. No new subscriptions for these products are being sold.
What is happening now — July 2026:
QuickBooks Desktop 2023 loses all support on May 31, 2026. As of the date of this page, if you are running Desktop 2023, your payroll tax tables have frozen, bank feeds have disconnected, and security patches have stopped. Continuing to process payroll or connect bank feeds on this version is not recommended.
What is coming — September 2027:
QuickBooks Desktop 2024 — the final non-Enterprise Desktop version ever released — loses all support on September 30, 2027. After that date, payroll, bank feeds, and online services on that version will stop working entirely.
What is not being discontinued:
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is the only Desktop edition Intuit continues to sell, update, and fully support. If you need to stay on a Desktop product long-term, Enterprise is the only viable path.
What your options are:
- Move to QuickBooks Online — Intuit's primary supported cloud product with full feature parity for most small business users.
- Move to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise — if your business needs Desktop's architecture and more advanced features.
- Stay on Desktop 2024 until September 2027 — with the understanding that payroll and bank feeds will stop working at that date.
Independent consultation can help you assess which path makes sense for your specific business and plan the migration without disrupting your financial records.
Get Migration GuidanceQuickBooks consulting from All Quick Solutions provides written advisory guidance for specific QuickBooks problems — troubleshooting, setup, migration, and error resolution. You describe your issue, we confirm the scope and fee in writing before anything is charged, and you receive a written advisory response by email with prioritised steps, plain-language explanations, and next-action guidance. You follow the steps yourself on your own QuickBooks system. We never access your company file, your Intuit account, or your computer remotely. Available for QuickBooks Online, Desktop Pro, Premier, and Enterprise. US and Canada only.
What Our QuickBooks Consultant Service Is and Is Not
Before submitting a request, be clear about what this service provides and what falls outside its scope. This prevents mismatched expectations and ensures you are using the right resource for your situation.
This Service IS:
- Written advisory consultation for specific QuickBooks troubleshooting, setup, or migration questions
- One-time paid guidance tailored to your exact situation — not a generic article or knowledge base response
- For business owners, bookkeepers, or anyone managing their own QuickBooks who needs expert guidance
- Independent third-party advisory — not affiliated with Intuit, QuickBooks, or any ProAdvisor network
- Delivered entirely by email as a written document you can refer back to and follow at your own pace
- Available for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and Enterprise
- Honest about what falls outside our scope — we will tell you before accepting payment
This Service IS NOT:
- Not ongoing monthly bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor services
- Not tax preparation, tax filing, or professional accounting services of any kind
- Not official QuickBooks support or Intuit customer service
- Not remote access to your QuickBooks company file or live screen sharing
- Not help with QuickBooks subscription billing, licence recovery, or Intuit account access — contact Intuit directly for these
- Not a guarantee of resolution — outcomes depend on your specific system, your bank, and Intuit's infrastructure
When to use this service:
You have a specific QuickBooks problem you need expert written guidance on but do not want to commit to ongoing monthly bookkeeping fees. You are comfortable following written instructions on your own QuickBooks system. You need a specific answer for a specific problem — not general training or ongoing management.
When NOT to use this service:
You need someone to manage your books monthly, prepare your financial statements, file your taxes, or serve as your company's outsourced accountant. You need help with QuickBooks billing disputes, subscription recovery, or Intuit account access — those require Intuit directly. You want live phone or video support rather than written guidance.
When to contact Intuit directly:
QuickBooks subscription billing and payment issues. Intuit account access recovery. Product licence and activation problems. QuickBooks payroll tax table updates. Any issue that requires Intuit's servers to take direct action on your account. We will always tell you if your issue falls into this category — before accepting any payment.
QuickBooks Issues Our Consultant Service Covers
These are the most common reasons business owners and bookkeepers come to us. If your issue falls into one of these categories, written advisory guidance is likely the right tool for your situation.
Bank Feed and Connection Errors
Bank feeds not downloading, bank connection errors, transactions stopped importing after a bank authentication update, duplicate transactions after reconnecting an account, unrecognised transactions in the feed. We cover both QuickBooks Online bank feeds and QuickBooks Desktop Direct Connect and Web Connect connections.
Company File Errors and Performance
Company file not opening, Error 6000 series file errors, data damage warnings, slow performance on large company files, multi-user connection errors including H202 and H505, network file access problems. We help you understand which tool to use in which order before you risk making the file problem worse.
Payroll Configuration and Errors
Payroll setup questions, payroll item configuration, Error PS038 stuck paychecks, payroll tax table update failures, payroll liabilities not matching, incorrect paycheck calculations. Note that payroll tax table updates on Desktop 2023 and earlier have been discontinued — see the Desktop discontinuation section.
QuickBooks Desktop to Online Migration
Planning and executing a migration from QuickBooks Desktop Pro or Premier to QuickBooks Online. What migrates cleanly, what does not, how to prepare your company file before migrating, what to verify after migration, and what to do when migration does not go as expected. Given Intuit's Desktop discontinuation timeline, this is increasingly time-sensitive for many users.
Chart of Accounts and Category Cleanup
Reorganising a chart of accounts that has grown cluttered over years of use, merging duplicate accounts, reclassifying transactions that have been miscategorised, setting up a clean account structure for a new financial year, and aligning the chart of accounts with the reporting structure your accountant needs.
Inventory and Product Setup
Setting up inventory tracking in QuickBooks Online or Desktop, configuring inventory assembly items, understanding the difference between inventory and non-inventory items, fixing inventory quantity discrepancies, and configuring purchase orders and receiving against them.
Reconciliation Problems
Bank reconciliation that will not clear, reconciliation discrepancies you cannot identify the source of, opening balance equity problems, reconciliation history showing incorrect dates or amounts, and how to correct a reconciliation that was completed incorrectly in a prior period.
QuickBooks Error Codes
Error 3371 licence load failure, Error 6123 and 6000 series company file errors, H202 and H505 multi-user errors, Error PS038 payroll error, Error 15XXX payroll update errors, Error 1601 and 1603 installation errors, WDDM service errors, and migration failure errors. We explain what each error actually means and give you the correct sequence of steps to address it for your specific version.
What You Receive From a QuickBooks Consultation
Every consultation response is a structured written document tailored specifically to your QuickBooks version, your company file situation, and the issue you described. Here is what the document contains.
Issue Assessment
A clear explanation of what is causing your problem based on the details you provided and our knowledge of QuickBooks behaviour across versions. The assessment identifies the most likely root cause — distinguishing between a user-side configuration issue, a QuickBooks software behaviour, a bank-side problem, or an Intuit server-side issue — so you understand what you are dealing with before taking any action.
Prioritised Steps
Step-by-step instructions in priority order. What to try first, what to do if that does not work, and what to try next. Each step is ordered by likelihood of resolving the issue and by risk — lower-risk steps come before higher-risk ones that could change your company file state if they go wrong.
Plain-Language Explanations
Every recommended step includes an explanation of what it does, why it applies to your specific situation, and what to expect when you carry it out. You are not following a list of instructions blindly — you understand the reasoning behind each action, which means you can recognise if something is not going as expected and know what to do about it.
Verification Guidance
How to confirm that the issue has been resolved — what to check, what the correct output looks like, and what a persistent problem looks like versus a successful fix. Verification is particularly important for company file errors and reconciliation problems where an undetected remaining issue creates compounding errors.
When to Escalate
Clear guidance on when your specific situation requires Intuit support directly, a QuickBooks ProAdvisor who manages your books, or a professional accountant. We are specific — not a generic "consult a professional" disclaimer, but an explanation of what specifically needs to happen next and who is in the best position to do it.
Follow-Up Exchanges
Included follow-up questions based on your tier — Basic includes one follow-up, Standard includes two, Advanced includes four. Follow-ups must relate to the original issue scope. If a step did not produce the expected result, or if the response raised an additional question about the same issue, the follow-up exchange is there for exactly this.
The Consultation Process — Six Steps From Request to Written Guidance
Every consultation follows the same structured six-step process. You know exactly what you are getting and you approve the fee before any payment is taken.
Submit Your Request
Complete the consultation request form at the bottom of this page. Describe your QuickBooks issue — what is happening, which version you are on, what you have already tried, and any error codes that have appeared. No payment is required at submission and no obligation is created.
We Review Your Request
KD Sharma reads your submission and assesses what is needed to address your situation. We determine the most likely cause, the appropriate consultation scope, and whether the issue is within our advisory service or whether Intuit support or a ProAdvisor is the more appropriate next step. If your issue is outside our scope, we tell you — before accepting any payment.
We Confirm Scope and Fee in Writing
You receive an email confirming exactly what the consultation will cover, the tier we recommend, the response timeframe, and the exact fee. This is your opportunity to ask questions, adjust the scope, or decide not to proceed. Nothing is charged at this stage.
You Review, Agree, and Pay
If the confirmed scope and fee match your needs, you reply to confirm your agreement and complete payment through our secure payment process. We do not store your card details. Payment is taken only after you have explicitly agreed to the confirmed scope in writing.
We Research and Write
After payment is confirmed, we research your specific issue — using our practical QuickBooks experience, Intuit's official documentation, and knowledge of the specific behaviour of the version you are running. We write a consultation response tailored to your situation, not drawn from a generic template.
You Receive Your Written Advisory Response
The consultation is delivered to your email inbox within the timeframe for your chosen tier. You follow the steps yourself on your own QuickBooks — Online or Desktop — at your own pace. Follow-up exchanges are available within your tier's allowance for clarifying questions about the original issue.
QuickBooks Desktop Is Ending — Independent Planning Guidance
Intuit's phased discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier is the most significant change in QuickBooks history. If you are currently on Desktop, understanding your timeline and your options is urgent — not optional.
Timeline
Already Happened — September 2024
Intuit stopped selling new QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus and Premier Plus subscriptions. No new customers can purchase these products. Existing subscribers continued on their current version until their subscription expires or the version loses support.
Now — May 31, 2026
QuickBooks Desktop 2023 has lost all support. Payroll tax tables are frozen — meaning any payroll processed on Desktop 2023 from this date uses outdated tax rates. Bank feeds have disconnected from Intuit's servers. Security patches have stopped. If you are currently running Desktop 2023, this affects you directly and immediately.
Coming — September 30, 2027
QuickBooks Desktop 2024 — the final non-Enterprise Desktop version ever released — loses all support. After this date, payroll, bank feeds, and all Intuit-connected services on Desktop 2024 stop working. The software itself will still open and you can enter transactions manually, but nothing that connects to Intuit's servers will function.
Permanent — After September 2027
No new non-Enterprise Desktop versions will ever be released. Every non-Enterprise Desktop user who does not migrate will be running permanently unsupported software with no security updates, no payroll tax table updates, and no bank connectivity.
Your Options
Path 1 — Move to QuickBooks Online
The most common migration path and Intuit's primary recommendation. QuickBooks Online covers the same core accounting functions as Desktop for most small businesses — invoicing, expense tracking, bank feeds, payroll, and reporting. The migration tool moves your chart of accounts, open balances, and some transaction history. What does not migrate cleanly includes some custom reports, inventory history, and certain list items. Independent consultation covers what to do before, during, and after migration to maximise what transfers correctly.
Path 2 — Move to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Enterprise is the only Desktop product Intuit continues to sell and support. It has more advanced features than Pro and Premier — up to 40 users, advanced inventory with bin tracking, more custom reporting, and industry-specific editions. It is priced significantly higher than the standard Desktop products. If your business specifically needs Desktop's architecture and cannot transition to a cloud-based product, Enterprise is the only long-term supported option.
Path 3 — Stay on Desktop 2024 Until September 2027
If you are currently on Desktop 2024, you have a supported path through September 2027. Payroll and bank feeds still work. Between now and that deadline, plan and execute your migration so the transition happens on your schedule — not in a crisis when services stop working. Independent consultation helps you use this time to plan the migration correctly rather than scrambling at the deadline.
Desktop discontinuation migration is exactly the kind of situation where independent written guidance adds real value — because the correct migration approach depends heavily on which Desktop version you are moving from, how many years of history you have, whether you run payroll through QuickBooks, and how complex your chart of accounts and inventory setup are. A consultation gives you a migration plan built for your specific company file rather than a generic step-by-step that may not account for what you have built over years of use.
QuickBooks Consultation Tiers — Based on Issue Complexity
Three tiers are available based on the complexity of your issue and how quickly you need the response. The appropriate tier is confirmed during scope review — if we believe a different tier fits your issue better than the one you selected, we explain why before any payment is taken.

The Principles Behind Every Consultation We Deliver
These are not generic service promises. They are the specific operating principles that govern how every consultation at All Quick Solutions is handled from the moment you submit a request to the last follow-up exchange.
No Remote Access Under Any Circumstances
We never request access to your QuickBooks company file, your Intuit account credentials, your computer, or any of your financial data. All guidance is delivered in writing for you to execute yourself on your own system. Your financial data never leaves your control at any point in the process.
Scope and Fee Confirmed Before You Pay
You know exactly what you are getting and what it costs before any payment is processed. We describe the scope of the consultation in a confirmation email. The fee stated in that email is the total cost. There are no add-on charges after delivery, no upsells during the consultation, and no invoice for additional time.
Honest About When You Need Someone Else
If your issue requires Intuit's direct involvement — subscription problems, licence failures, account recovery — we tell you before accepting payment. If your situation needs a QuickBooks ProAdvisor managing your books monthly, we tell you that too. Charging for a consultation that cannot deliver what you actually need is not how this service works.
Realistic Timeframes We Can Actually Meet
The response timeframes stated for each tier are timeframes we commit to. If a consultation requires more time than initially estimated, we notify you before the deadline — not after. We do not quote same-day or four-hour response times for all issues regardless of complexity.
Follow-Up Is Included — Not an Upsell
Every tier includes follow-up exchanges for clarifying questions about the original issue. If a step did not work as expected, if something in the response was unclear, or if a new question arose from following the steps — the follow-up exchange is for exactly this. It is not treated as a new consultation unless you are asking about a genuinely different issue.
Fully Independent With No Conflicts of Interest
All Quick Solutions is not affiliated with Intuit, QuickBooks, or any ProAdvisor network. We do not receive referral fees, commissions, or any form of compensation from any QuickBooks product or service. Our recommendations are based entirely on what genuinely addresses your specific situation — not on which product or service benefits us.
"Most QuickBooks problems that reach us have a specific cause and a specific fix — if you know QuickBooks well enough to identify both. The gap between what official support provides and what a business owner actually needs to do next is where this service exists."

Frequently Asked Questions — QuickBooks Consultant
A: We provide written advisory consultation for QuickBooks troubleshooting, setup, migration, and error resolution. This covers bank feed connection errors, company file errors and performance problems, payroll configuration issues, QuickBooks Desktop to Online migration planning, chart of accounts cleanup, inventory setup, reconciliation discrepancies, and specific error codes across QuickBooks Online, Desktop Pro, Premier, and Enterprise. We also provide independent guidance on QuickBooks Desktop discontinuation planning for users who need to migrate before their version loses support.
A: No. A certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor is typically an accountant or bookkeeper who manages client books on an ongoing monthly basis, is certified by Intuit, and may appear in Intuit’s ProAdvisor directory. Our service is independent written advisory consultation for specific one-time problems — not ongoing bookkeeping, tax preparation, or book management. We are not certified by Intuit and have no commercial relationship with them. Our independence means our recommendations are based entirely on your situation rather than on any brand relationship.
A: Never. Our consultation is entirely advisory and delivered by email. We do not access your QuickBooks company file, perform remote login to your computer, or ask for your QuickBooks password, admin credentials, or Intuit account login under any circumstances. We provide written guidance that you or your bookkeeper follow on your own QuickBooks system. This protects your financial data and maintains your complete control over sensitive business information.
A: Yes. We provide consultation for both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop across Pro, Premier, and Enterprise editions. When submitting your request, always specify which product and version you are running — QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop have fundamentally different architectures and the troubleshooting approach differs significantly between them.
A: Yes — in phases. Intuit stopped selling new QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus and Premier Plus subscriptions in September 2024. QuickBooks Desktop 2023 lost all support including payroll, bank feeds, and security patches on May 31, 2026. QuickBooks Desktop 2024 — the final non-Enterprise Desktop version — will lose all support on September 30, 2027. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is the only Desktop edition Intuit continues to sell and support. If you are on Desktop 2023 or earlier, this affects you immediately. If you are on Desktop 2024, your deadline is September 2027.
A: Yes. Desktop to Online migration is one of our most requested consultations and is increasingly time-sensitive given Intuit’s discontinuation timeline. The consultation covers what migrates cleanly and what does not, how to prepare your company file before running the migration tool, how to verify the migration completed correctly, and how to handle the common issues that arise during migration — particularly inventory history, open transactions, and custom report structures.
A: We review your submission personally and respond within one business day with a scope confirmation email that describes exactly what the consultation will cover, the tier we recommend, the response timeframe, and the exact fee. Nothing is charged at submission. If your issue is outside our scope or better suited to another resource, we will tell you in the scope email rather than accepting payment and delivering something that does not address your actual problem.
A: Fees are based on issue complexity across three tiers. Basic for single focused issues, Standard for multi-step or layered problems, and Advanced for complex migrations or persistent errors. The exact fee is confirmed in writing before any payment is taken — what we quote in the scope email is the total you pay. There are no hidden fees, no hourly billing, and no additional charges after delivery.
A: Yes — with an important caveat for Desktop users. We can provide written advisory guidance for payroll configuration, payroll item setup, paycheck errors including Error PS038, and payroll reconciliation problems. However, payroll tax table updates on QuickBooks Desktop 2023 and earlier have been discontinued as of May 31, 2026. If you are running payroll on Desktop 2023, your tax tables are frozen and you need to migrate before processing further payroll — independent consultation can help you plan this transition.
